  This Japanese Kyusakichi "Atsu Hocho" Laminated Knife is a very thick & heavy duty kitchen knife. The blade is 5/16" thick & has a 7-1/8" (180 mm) long cutting edge & is suitable for heavy slicing & cutting tasks. 2-1/4" wide blade. Laminated with high carbon & mild steel. Includes plastic sleeve for protection.   Made in Japan.

     Yoshida Hamono is a family-owned Japanese company with an age-long tradition in manufacturing state-of-the-art tools and Japanese swords (katanas) by hand. Yoshida Hamono has a great deal of experience forging ZDP-189 steel in the traditional manner. The company has a smaller workshop in the Japanese town of Seki.
