  This Japanese Kyusakichi "Usuba Hocho" Laminated Knife is kitchen knife designed for slicing vegetables. The blade has a 6-1/4" (170 mm) long cutting edge & is suitable for slicing & cutting tasks of firm vegetables. 2-1/16" wide blade. Laminated with high carbon & mild steel. Includes plastic sleeve for protection.   Made in Japan.

     Yoshida Hamono is a family-owned Japanese company with an age-long tradition in manufacturing state-of-the-art tools and Japanese swords (katanas) by hand. Yoshida Hamono has a great deal of experience forging ZDP-189 steel in the traditional manner. The company has a smaller workshop in the Japanese town of Seki.
